Plaka is great for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is very long and it is very popular for its wonderful sand and the emerald waters. The sand is golden and fine and towards the end of Plaka (where Akti Plaka is located) it turns to very fine (powder like) and white.
I simply loved to stay at Acti Plaka. The hotel is wonderful, right on the beach, and what beach! Certainly the best of the island. The room was spacious and very confortable. The pool is amazing, and the area super quiet.
The place was PERFECT! Such a stunning location, really quiet and away from all the riff raff of other travellers. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It was an absolute dream stay!
My wife and I stayed in paradise here for two nights. It is perfectly situated on Plaka beach 50 meters away. It is quite and the gardens are wonderfully peaceful. The room was spotless and Mishelina was a fantastic host and looked after us so well.
What a great find! Wonderful apartments in a really peaceful location on Plaka beach. A short walk from the last bus stop meant there was little passing traffic. Lovely, clean rooms, great swimming pool and helpful staff.
